Powering Towers Where the Grid Can’t Reach

Safe, low maintenance batteries built to keep networks online 24/7.

Genezen’s Telecom Power Rack ensures continuous uptime for cell towers, even in extreme heat or cold, without fire risk.

must maintain uptime

Telecom networks must maintain uptime in the harshest conditions. Remote towers in deserts, mountaintops, or dense urban areas where fire codes are strict. Traditional lead-acid batteries fail quickly in heat, and lithium-ion systems face fire safety and cooling challenges.

Challenge

drop-in replacement

The Telecom Power Rack is engineered as a drop-in replacement for diesel generators and lead-acid banks. Its rugged 48V cabinet withstands −40°F to +158°F, cycles daily at 100% depth of discharge, and requires no cooling. Non-flammable chemistry eliminates fire risk, making it safe for rooftops and enclosed shelters where lithium is restricted.

Genezen Solution

Vodafone’s Eco‑Towers have combined horizontal wind turbines with solar panels and on‑site battery storage to power remote UK mobile towers without needing grid connections or diesel generators. This trial supports Vodafone’s goal of net‑zero UK operations by 2027 .

In Africa, Orange and Vodacom launched a joint venture to build up to 2,000 solar‑powered mobile base stations in underserved regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo, aiming to serve up to 19 million people, beneath strict rollout beginning in 2025
